INCREDIBLE LANDSCAPE WITH LIFE IN WILD
Indian wildlife is a treasure trove of biodiversity, home to an incredible array of species and ecosystems. Among its iconic habitats, Bandhavgarh, Kanha, Pench, and Satpura Tiger Reserves stand out as sanctuaries of unparalleled beauty and conservation significance.
Bandhavgarh, renowned for its high tiger density, features a striking mix of rocky terrain, dense forests, and grasslands.
Kanha, famously the inspiration for The Jungle Book, boasts lush sal forests, expansive meadows, and a thriving tiger population.
Pench located at the border of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, is a haven of diverse flora and fauna, including tigers and leopards, within its deciduous forest landscapes.
Meanwhile, Satpura’s rugged terrains, sandstone peaks, and dense forests offer unique landscapes and thriving biodiversity.
India’s tiger population has grown to 3,682 as per the 2022 census, a testament to the success of initiatives like Project Tiger (1973) and community-led conservation efforts. These reserves not only safeguard tigers but also harbor an array of mammals, such as leopards, wild dogs, sloth bears, and gaur. Reptiles like marsh crocodiles, pythons, and monitor lizards enrich their ecosystems further.
These reserves are home to over 200+ species of birds, including eagles, vultures, and owls. Mammals like the Bengal tiger, Asiatic wild dog, and sambar deer are abundant, while reptiles include crocodiles, turtles, and snakes. The reserves’ ecosystems support rich plant life, from tropical dry deciduous forests to moist deciduous and sal forests.
